The firm is seeking a Solicitor / Licenced Conveyancer / Residential Conveyancer to handle a varied caseload of residential property transactions.
This role is open to candidates from 2+ years PQE or those with fee earner experience of 3+ years.
This is a permanent full time position.
We aim to offer clients a personal, tailored service with clear, practical advice and strong client relationships.
Qualifications required
- Solicitor with current practising certificate or CLC Level 6 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice
- If no professional qualification then experience as a residential conveyancer fee earner in excess of 3 years is required
Experience required
- Solid experience managing own residential conveyancing caseload of approx. 60 active files
- Strong client care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently albeit supervised by the Head of the Conveyancing Department
- Proven track record handling complex transactions
- Ability to collaborate with, supervise and delegate to your own Conveyancing Assistant
- Commercial awareness and contribution to business development
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systems (Leap would be advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including freehold & leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity, new build and help-to-buy matters, staircasing and lease extensions
- The ability to deal with a varied client base with complete discretion including HNW clients
- Providing clear, practical advice to clients throughout transactions in accordance with professional standards and internal quality requirements
- Ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Know your Client requirements
- Maintaining high standards aligned with CQS accreditation
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, introducers and third parties
- Contributing to team development, and firm growth
